"The goal of Power Ten KidFIT Movement Breaks® is to safely and effectively allow physical activity for kids in the classroom setting. The program demonstrates different activities and games that are designed to last 30 seconds to 5 minutes. "

FOR TEACHERS

a

Most kids have little to no physical education time in the school day. This is due to the overwhelming demand on the education system to cover more and more material everyday, and less attention to the physical aspect. Also kids have a significant lack of play and movement at home because of cable T.V and video games. Sometimes a child can go the whole day without “moving.” Not only does this sedentary behavior correlate with lower energy levels and even worse the start of obesity; it also impacts receptivity to learning. The Movement Breaks are just a small part of the overall battle against this growing epidemic.

MOVEMENT BREAKS
Movement Breaks are designed to give teachers an avenue to bring fitness and education together in the classroom. They are controlled fitness games that can even be incorporated into lesson plans. The Movement Breaks are a GREAT way for kids to get out of their seats, move their bodies and relax their minds for 5 minutes. The child returns more alert and better prepared to take on the task at hand, education.
